Welcome to Tech High School
Message from Principal Ziemann:
Tech LRC Remodel Project
Starting next week, Monday April 28th, Tech will be closing the library portion of the LRC. The following Monday May 5th, we will need to close the computer lab portion of the LRC as well. If everything goes according to the very carefully planned summer schedule, we will have both areas reopened at the start of the 2014/2015 school year.
We regret that we will not be able to provide students with the opportunity to check out books and that computer usage will be drastically hindered for the remainder of the year but we will relocate our textbook circulation to the room that is now used for the Access program so that students can continue to use their textbooks and be able to check them back in at the end of the year.
"On Thursday, April 24, the Tech High School SADD organization, Students Against Destructive Decisions, will be hosting a mock crash to demonstrate the dangers of drinking and driving. Along with help from various organizations including the St. Cloud Police Department, the St. Cloud Fire Department, Life Link, and Gold Cross Ambulance, the Tech SADD students have worked relentlessly to plan this event. The mock crash coincides with the school’s prom, scheduled for Saturday, April 26.
On the morning of April 24, 12th Ave. S from 2nd St S to 7th St S. will be blocked off from 7:00am – 11:00. Parents dropping their kids off that morning are encouraged to use door 19/20 along 7th Ave S. 12th Ave S will be cleared following the mock crash and will be open at the end of the school day.
(In the case of inclement weather, the crash will be re-scheduled for Friday, April 25.)"
We work hard to keep accurate attendance at Tech High School. If your son or daughter is, or is going to be absent, please contact the Student affairs office as soon as possible.

Online Report Cards in Skyward for 2013-2014 School year
With our on going efforts to reduce the roughly 2 million sheets of paper we print each year, we would like to attempt to make our end of term report cards available electronically. Because our highest priority is communication about your student's progress here at Tech, we do not want to do anything to hinder this. Currently, 30% of our students do not have an email listed for their primary parent or guardian. We can post the report card on the family access but we are unable to send it via email to those families. We would like to encourage everyone to log into Skyward and verify or add your email. Click here for directions.
If for what ever reason, this creates an inconvenience for you and you would prefer to continue to receive paper reports, please call 320-252-2231 or email email@example.com and let us know and we will continue to provide written reports to you.
AP Testing Schedule Changes:
Due to the number of days missed for weather this year, the AP Program has given the option to teachers to move testing to the 3rd week of May during the nationally scheduled alternate dates. After careful consideration, our AP teachers and students have agreed to move the following tests to the LATE-TESTING window:
AP US Government (new date: Wednesday, May 21st, at 8AM
AP English Language (new date: Wednesday, May 21st, at 12PM)
AP World History (new date: Wednesday, May 21st, at 12PM)
AP Chemistry (new date: Thursday, May 22, at 12PM)
