On Tuesday, April 28, while juniors are taking the ACT and freshmen and sophomores are participating in the Career Event, seniors have a unique opportunity to participate in one of several options to further their preparation for post-secondary life.
Seniors will be required to choose and arrange one meaningful educational experience, from the list of options, to fulfill the requirements of their day. Students will then fill out a form, attend their experience, have a parent sign the form and return the form to their homeroom teacher.
The arrangements for your Senior Experience must be completed by Monday, April 27. Your completed and signed form is due back to your homeroom teacher by Thursday, April 30.
Please carefully consider which of the following options you will choose and arrange on April 28 to complete your experience. You may take the opportunity to:
· visit a post-secondary school of your choice
· job shadow in your desired career area
· perform community service at your chosen organization
· search and apply for scholarships
· search for employment
· be involved in a study group
You will need to make your own arrangements by contacting the college, job, or community service organization of your choice and setting up the experience you desire. You may also speak with your guidance counselor regarding the scholarship application process, if you have not already done so.
Please work with your family, counselors and/or other staff to take full advantage of this unique educational opportunity!
If you, or your family, have any questions, please contact Ms. Hanson. Thank you.

Online Report Cards in Skyward for 2014-2015 School Year
Several years ago District 742 started using Skyward. One of the major reasons was to improve our communication with students and parents. Our goal is to have student attendance, and progress as current as possible and available on the web.
With our ongoing efforts to reduce the roughly 2 million sheets of paper we print each year, we will continue to make our end of term report cards available electronically. Because our highest priority is communication about your student's progress here at Tech, we do not want to do anything to hinder this. Currently, 30% of our students do not have an email listed for their primary parent or guardian. We can post the report card on the family access but we are unable to send it via email to those families. We would like to encourage everyone to log into Skyward and verify or add your email. Click here for directions.
If for what ever reason, this creates an inconvenience for you and you would prefer to continue to receive paper reports, please call 320-252-2231 or email firstname.lastname@example.org and let us know and we will continue to provide written reports to you.
